You can't see it here, but there is some snow and rain
starting
around 7:00 PM on March 31, 2011. It was a nice day, a little
gray as there are a couple of fronts coming through. Starting
tonight, we're supposed to be in for a snowy / rainy day on April 1.
Hard to tell which, rain or snow.
Living near Worcester can be a challenge when deciding whether to make
sure the snow thrower is ready for possible accumulation the next day.
We always seem to be on some dividing line in the TV weather
caster's frame of mind..

Channel 4 has a really fuzzy
map with Worcester somewhere on the low end of 2-12 inches.

Channel 5 has a distinctive
warp in the 6-12" line. It seems deliberately distorted to
include Worcester.
This reminds me of a math test in tech school where we had to plot a
quadratic function on graph paper. I ended up with two curves
looking like that containing Worcester right next to each other.
I couldn't resist penciling in some decoration at the bottoms to
relay what it reminded me of.

Channel 7 has a similar dip in the
7-10" line that seems to include Worcester.

And Fox25 has Worcester right
on the edge of the 6-12" line which does not include the dippy
distortion that some others have.
Nothing to do now, but wait and see.
Technical Note: The TV images were captured on WinTV2000 software
that is playing on my 2nd monitor through a Hauppage TV adapter.
There's a snapshot button in the corner. I missed
the Channel 4 weather, so I snagged it's image from their web page.
